Are You DoseWise? 2015 Radiographer of the Year Contest Is Now Open!

In recognition of dose-conscious radiographers and to support radiation dose management awareness, the ISRRT is giving one radiographer the opportunity to become the ISRRT DoseWise Radiographer of the Year, encouraging radiographers from around the world to share best practices. The selected Radiographer of the Year will be invited to present their case at RSNA 2015 to the Radiology Advisory board hosted by Philips.

The contest is now open for entry until 30 September 2015. Any practicing radiographer who is a citizen of an ISRRT Member Country or an Associate Member of the ISRRT is eligible for participating. Go to www.philips.com/dosewise-contest for official rules, full details, and entry form.

Sir Robert Menzies Research Scholarship in the Allied Health Sciences 2016

Applications for the Sir Robert Menzies Research Scholarship in the Allied Health Sciences for 2016 will open on 15 May 2015.   

This research scholarship is open to Australian citizens who are graduates in any of the health sciences and are undertaking a doctoral program.

Amnesty and Re-entry for MRI Level 1 and Level 2 Certifications

The AIR is offering practitioners who have inadvertently let their MRI certifications lapse the opportunity to have their certifications reinstated.

MRI Amnesty Program

Lapsed Level 1 and 2

Eligibility Criteria

1. Sat and passed the MRI Level 1 exam but failed to enter Certificate program

2. Lapsed member of MRI Level 1 certificate program

3. Lapsed Level 2 MRI radiographer who wishes to re-join program as a level 1 MRI certificate radiographer

4. Lapsed Level 2 MRI radiographers wishing to maintain a similar level of participation and commitment (ie Level 2 as per AIR MRI policies and procedures) will need to demonstrate acquired CPD outside of the usual standard CPD covering the duration of the period of lapse

Applicants will need to demonstrate recency of practice in MRI with appropriate supporting documentation.

Nuclear Medicine (NM) Level 1 Certification (EXAM ONLY)

This opportunity has now become available for NM practitioners to sit the exam component ONLY of the MRI Level 1 Certification

The eligibility criteria will be available on the website from July 2015 onwards, however note that if you wish to become a member of the AIR, applications are subject to Board approval.
