Monash BreastScreen is part of the National Breast Cancer Screening Program, BreastScreen Australia. The program is jointly funded by both state and federal governments and aims to screen 70% of women aged 50-74 years. There are over 250,000 eligible women (i.e. Women aged 40+ are eligible; women 50-74 specifically targeted) in the Monash BreastScreen catchment of South East Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula. Women are screened in community based centres and if assessment is required, they return to Moorabbin Hospital, Monash Health. Monash BreastScreen performs more than 64,000 screening examinations per year.
Your Opportunity
Monash BreastScreen has a vacancy for suitably skilled radiographer on a part time or full time basis. We offer flexible working hours, ongoing education and a supportive team environment. The primary role and position is for screening mammography undertaken at Moorabbin, Waverley and Casey Hospital screening sites as well as in the Monash BreastScreen Assessment Clinics located at the Moorabbin Hospital. Prior experience in breast imaging is required.
