QLD Branch Meeting: Patient experience – First Nations patients

ASMIRT Qld Branch presents:

Understanding our patients is the first step to improving their health. As modern healthcare workers, we need to understand how our practice feels from the patient’s perspective. In this seminar, we will explore the patient experience from the perspective of First Nations peoples.

This webinar will assist in enhancing practitioner knowledge to optimise care for patients who identify as First Nations, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

In this seminar, attendees will deepen their understanding of First Nations peoples’ patient experience. Hear from invited speakers Tammy Stanton and Lynelle Fallon.

Proud Gomeroi woman Tammy Stanton is the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Project Officer for Darling Downs Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. Tammy drives the Darling Downs Health Equity Strategy, ensuring First Nations voices shape local health services. She engages with consumers, communities, and stakeholders to address their needs and feedback.

Radiographer Lynelle Fallon is a proud Waanyi woman working as a Senior Lecturer at CQU.
