• Perform advanced quality screening mammography, assessment and diagnostic procedures, which may include breast ultrasounds and specialised interventional stereotactic core biopsies, independent of supervision for the BreastScreen Queensland Townsville Service.
• Participate in continued professional development through active learning within the multidisciplinary team setting and by sourcing educational opportunities to maintain and update knowledge in current developments and techniques for breast imaging.
• Assist with training, guidance and mentorship in routine mammography to less experienced Radiographers and the Imaging Assistance Support Officer to ensure maintenance of professional standards and adherence to BreastScreen Queensland policies and procedures.

What’s on offer?

Permanent Part-time position, 38 hours per fortnight.

Pro rata remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value of up to $157,360 p.a., comprising base salary range of $64.64 – $69.55 p.ah (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (HP4), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%). Assistance with relocation expenses may also be available.

Eligible health workers who make the move (interstate or international) to work with us may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme (conditions apply).

BreastScreen Queensland Townsville Service operates from a state-of-the-art, fully equipped screening and assessment facility in Townsville and also provides a mobile screening service to 24 regional, rural and remote sites within the northern Queensland region.
