Research is one of the foundation stones of the Medical Radiation Professions and underpins the high-quality care Medical Radiation Practitioners (MRPs) deliver on a daily basis. ASMIRT is committed to supporting and strengthening the conduct of research amongst all MRPs.

ASMIRT has a specific Research Resources section within the member site, where you can access a vast range of research support materials.

ASMIRT offers research grants of up to $10,000 each to enhance the research base within Medical Radiation Science.
ASMIRT awards a maximum of two research grants per year in the fields of medical imaging and radiation therapy. The grants are designed to encourage researchers to develop projects which will add to the body of knowledge of the Medical Radiation Science profession.

ASMIRT is offering a Novice Researcher Grant for up to a maximum of $5,000 (including GST), specifically for medical radiation science professionals new to research.
ANZMRRN is committed to continually improving and advancing radiation therapy and medical imaging practices through innovative and exploratory scientific, clinical and professional research that touches all aspects of medical radiation practice. Their goal is to increase high quality medical radiations, MRI and sonography research, to add to the scientific literature in order to improve diagnosis and treatment outcomes for patients.

Useful online resources such as research process flow charts and statistical tools will be immediately accessible to all whether in a public or private metropolitan hospital or rural setting.
