ASMIRT is excited to continue the online training initiative with Indigenous Allied Health Australia (IAHA) to provide MRPs the professional development required to comply with National Aphra Registration. This collaboration was created in response to the MRPBA-revised Professional capabilities which came into effect on 1 March 2020, whereby cultural safety is a key capability and essential requirement for medical radiation practice.
MRPs require a working knowledge of factors that contribute to and influence the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. These factors include history, spirituality and relationship to land, and other determinants of health in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
The three levels include:
Level 1: Cultural Awareness Foundation
Level 2: Unpacking the Cultural Responsiveness Framework
Level 3: Looking through the Cultural Lens.
Make cultural safety an ongoing part of your professional development. This training is available to all medical radiation practitioners at exclusive ASMIRT benefit pricing.
Note: Successful completion of each level is a pre-requisite to continue to the next level.
