About this role

This position is responsible for providing Medical Imaging services to the Cardiovascular Invasive Labs at an advanced level of practice. This includes:

  • Interpreting Cardiology and Vascular requests and performing advanced specialised procedures in accordance with the Radiation Safety Act, North Metropolitan Health Department and SCGH Hospital policies and any other appropriate legislation.
  • Ensuring image quality and scope of examination is sufficient to provide diagnostic information for clinical requirements.
  • Monitoring, testing and maintaining imaging equipment for optimal functioning, including liaising with service personnel where necessary.
  • Providing professional support and assistance to junior staff.

This role reports to the Supervising Medical Imaging Technologist.
