Are You Ready for #NRRTW2026? Here's Everything You Need to Know!

1 October 2026

#NRRTW2026 is coming closer by the day and this year ASMIRT have prepared some exciting resources to help practitioners participate and celebrate worldwide!

Here's everything you need to know about #NRRTW2026 to get celebrations started, and spread the word of your profession in medical radiation!

I'm New, What is #NRRTW2026?

National Radiographers and Radiation Therapists' Week - NRRTW - is the official awareness week for Medical Radiation Practitioners (MRPs) to raise the visibility of professions like radiography, radiation therapy, and nuclear medicine technologists through celebration.

#NRRTW2026 will commence from Monday, November 2nd, 2026, and run through to Sunday, November 8th, 2026.

How Can I Get Involved In #NRRTW2026?

These personalised resources are designed to help MRPs communicate who they are and what they do, to promote their profession to patients and celebrate with their clinics.

Clinics and medical practitioners can get involved by ordering a FREE content pack from ASMIRT that contains professional, personalised resources.

Resources are available in print and digital form, and you can use the official #NRRTW2026 hashtag across social media to shout out your clinical team!

Where Can I Order A FREE #NRRTW2026 Content Pack?

Practitioners and clinics can access, customise and download their personalised resources digitally through the official #NRRTW2026 website.

Printed resource packs can be ordered online and shipped to your clinic for FREE.

Why Do Medical Radiation Professionals (MRPs) Need More Visibility?

In 2024, every 4 in 6 Australians received at least one pathology, imaging or medical diagnostic service. That's over 18 million Aussies in one year.

And in 2023 alone, the Australian Government estimates that an average of 450 cases of cancer were diagnosed every, single, day.

Of those Australians, how many do you think could name the practice, let alone the name of the practitioner they saw? From insightful imaging to remedying radiation therapy?

We got the answer by taking to the streets and asking them in the video below:

How Can I Share Celebrations At My Practice On Socials?

ASMIRT has prepared official social media graphics you can post across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn accompanied by the Hashtag #NRRTW2026.

You can download them through the #NRRTW2026 website.
