Clinical Workshops

Into the CT Wilderness: Navigating Image Quality Through Adaptation and Insight
This interactive workshop aims to equip early career radiographers, students and experienced radiographer looking to refresh with essential knowledge on how computed tomography parameters affect image quality.

Equitable care for all – If we get it right for people with learning disabilities and autism, we get it right for everyone
This workshop provides essential knowledge and practical tools to better recognise and respond to people with learning disabilities and autism. It also addresses key issues such as diagnostic overshadowing, unconscious bias, and a lack of reasonable adjustments.

Artificial Intelligence in Rad-AI-tion Therapy: Bridging the Gap between Theory and Practice
Explore how AI can enhance workflow efficiency, enable automation, and drive innovation in RT. The workshop will feature interactive, case-based discussions, Q&A sessions, and provide actionable knowledge to support and improve the everyday practice of Radiation Therapists.

Listen, Adapt, Discover: Case-Based Approaches in Adaptive Radiation Therapy
This workshop combines theoretical learning with interactive case discussions to explore Adaptive Radiation Therapy. The session will cover CT-, MRI-, and PET-based approaches, technical considerations and clinical applications.

Ensuring technical precision and rigorous techniques throughout DEXA scans
This presentation will provide an overview of DEXA scanning, the underlying theoretical elements, and highlight areas where errors can occur.

From Data to Action: Radiation Dose Report Analysis enabling safer Angiographic and Interventional Imaging
Bring your own examination dose report and be be guided through a structured process to gain a deeper understanding of the factors contributing to high radiation doses. Participants will develop practical strategies for dose optimisation and enhancing patient and staff safety.

Person-centred care
Explore self-care, empathy, and practical strategies to overcome care barriers, prevent burnout, and improve patient outcomes.

Pain Science in Radiography Practice: Considerations and Applications for Person-Centred Care
This workshop will provide an overview of current evidence-informed models of pain, draw on insights from experimental pain research, and equip you with practical strategies to provide person-centred care for patients experiencing pain.

Larger Bodies in Imaging and Treatment: Challenges and Solutions
This interactive workshop explores the challenges and opportunities when treating/imaging patients with larger bodies, drawing on recent research findings.

Non-clinical workshops

Trauma-Informed Practice and Managing Vicarious Trauma
Establish a useful toolkit that recognises and mitigates the impacts of trauma. Develop a trauma-informed awareness, with practical strategies to support others without compromising your own well-being.

Lifting the Gaze: Leadership in the era of Professional Capabilities

AI Across Borders: Literacy for Medical Radiation Practitioners for ASEAN and Beyond!
Explore how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming medical imaging and radiation therapy. Analyse case studies to understand AI's benefits, limitations and ethical considerations.

I’ve got an idea! Getting started in research and developing a project protocol
This workshop presents strategies to kickstart your research, followed by small group work to refine existing ideas or explore prepared examples.

Turning your project into a publication – it’s easy when you know how (JMRS)
Learn how to convert your oral presentation or poster presentation into a peer-reviewed article.

The Art of Making: Creative salve for reflection and emotional wellbeing for healthcare professionals
Through hands-on activities, this session introduces participants to practical tools including theme boarding, prompt-based writing, and junk journaling to explore how creative arts can capture experiences and feelings to help manage anxiety, burnout, and moral distress.
