The Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences (JMRS) has launched a pilot Reviewer Mentoring Program. Commencing in July 2024, the program will connect authors of JMRS articles with associate editors, who will teach them to review articles through a 1-on-1 mentorship.
The program aims to educate the next generation of peer reviewers who want to contribute to the journal and the wider scientific community.
Cherry Agustin, Editor in Chief of JMRS says, “The pilot program will help authors understand the review system and improve their writing in the process.
“We also want to ensure we have a big enough and broad enough pool of contributing reviewers to the journal as it grows from strength to strength”,” she says.
The JMRS Reviewer Mentoring Program will initially consist of five pairs. Program details and the expression of interest form are available in the JMRS section of the ASMIRT website.
