Join the NSW Branch Committee for the June Open Branch meeting - meet your state branch representatives, learn about what ASMIRT is currently working on for its members and hear what activities the NSW Branch has planned for the rest of the year.

Earn an hour of CPD by listening to presentations looking into the emerging applications of artificial intelligence in medical imaging. What are the key risks and challenges associated with AI implementation and their potential impacts on clinical workflows? 

This will be a virtual meeting that will be beneficial for all MRS professionals, students and academics and is not restricted to those from NSW.

Name: Gayatri Kulkarni

Job Title: Manager- Business Operations, Qure.AI

Topic: Real-World Lessons from Deploying AI in Medical Imaging

Gayatri Kulkarni works as a Business Operations Manager at Qure AI, leading projects across Southeast Asia and Australia. With extensive experience in project management and operations, from grassroots initiatives to partnering with hospitals and clinicians, she has built a deep understanding of healthcare systems across diverse markets.

Gayatri is passionate about leveraging AI to support clinician workflows and improve patient outcomes, with a strong focus on driving equitable access to healthcare across the world. She believes that AI holds transformative potential, not just for individual patient journeys, but for reshaping how healthcare is delivered at a societal level.


Name: Nareuchaya Karoonuthaisiri

Job Title: Radiographer - PRP Norwest Private Hospital

Title: AI fluency, considerations and case studies for Medical Imaging

Nareuchaya Karoonuthaisiri is an Australian radiographer working at the forefront of artificial intelligence in medical imaging, health systems, and global health diplomacy. She is the 2025 recipient of the ASMIRT International Travel Scholarship to City St Georges (University of London), gaining an advanced international insight into the safe, evidence-based integration of AI in clinical practice.

She currently serves as ASMIRT NSW Branch Secretary and the Alumni and Community Director for the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Youth Partnership, where she drives regional engagement and leadership across the Indo-Pacific. Along a similar vein, Nareuchaya is an International Business and Diplomatic Protocol Consultant, certified by the United States Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights, bringing a unique lens of health diplomacy, international relations, and strategic communication into healthcare innovation. Her work is focused on positioning medical radiation practitioners not just as users of AI, but as critical evaluators and decision-makers, ensuring that technological adoption is grounded in trust, patient safety, and system-wide impact.
