We’re pleased to announce that ASMIRT has appointed BMS Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (BMS) as our new insurance partner, commencing on 30 June 2026.

Following a thorough tender process, the Board of Directors unanimously selected BMS as the best overall solution.

From this year’s renewal, eligible ASMIRT members will benefit from a combined Professional Indemnity and Public & Products Liability Insurance, along with Group Journey Insurance. These updated policies will provide industry specific coverage and peace of mind.

More information about this change will be shared with eligible members in ASMIRT’s upcoming renewal communications campaign, commencing next month. To make sure you stay covered, be sure to renew your membership this year.

Professional Indemnity and Public & Products Liability Insurance

Members in an eligible membership class gain professional indemnity, public and Products liability insurance as part of their membership fee, with the policy providing $20 million worth of coverage per eligible member.

Group Journey Insurance (non-Workers Compensation) 

This insurance provides eligible ASMIRT members protection for specified injuries and ongoing weekly benefits if you are injured travelling to and from your place of employment, in states where workers compensation insurance doesn’t provide any or adequate protection for this work-related journey.  

BMS Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (BMS)

BMS is the exclusive insurance partner for the ASMIRT Member Insurance Program.

You must be a current eligible member of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) to participate in the ASMIRT Member Insurance Program. If your membership ceases, you will not be offered renewal when your policy expires.
