JMRS Paper Award Winners Announced

JMRS Paper Award Winners Announced

Robin Decoster MSc, Rachel Toomey PhD, Dirk Smits PhD, Tamara Miner Haygood MD PhD,
and Marie-Louise Ryan PhD have been awarded the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences (JMRS) Award for Best Original Medical Imaging Article, at the opening ceremony of ASMIRT 2024, in Darwin. Their winning article is titled Understanding reasons for image rejection by radiologists and radiographers.

Eddie Gibbons BSc (RT), Matthew Hoffmann BIT, Justin Westhuyzen MSc, PhD, Andrew Hodgson BSc (RT), Brendan Chick PhD, and Andrew Last DPhil, FRCR have been awarded the Journal of Medical Radiation Sciences (JMRS) Award for Best Original Radiation Therapy Article. Their winning article is titled Clinical evaluation of deep learning and atlas-based auto-segmentation for critical organs at risk in radiation therapy.

The Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and the New Zealand of Institute of Medical Imaging and Radiation Technology (NZIMRT) have paid for the cost of producing a video byte of each article. Worth US $525, these video bytes are available on the JMRS website and can be widely disseminated on social media.
