Michael Fuller awarded 2024 Nicholas Outterside Medallion

Michael Fuller awarded 2024 Nicholas Outterside Medallion

Michael Fuller has been awarded the Nicholas Outterside Medallion at the opening ceremony of ASMIRT 2024, in Darwin.

Michael is well known to many ASMIRT members as a passionate and engaging educator and practitioner. He has presented many papers and workshops at conferences in Australia and has had a career led by serving those in need.

Michael is a former consultant radiographer to Papua New Guinea under the Australian Commonwealth Government AusAID program and a principal contributor to wikiRadiography. He is also deeply involved in Radiology Across Borders, the global charity teaching clinical skills to radiologists, doctors, and medical imaging staff around the world.

Michael continues his passion for educating others in his role as the Clinical Tutor Radiographer at Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia.

Amongst other reasons, Michael is this year’s Nicholas Outterside medallion recipient because of his continued contribution to the Society and Members over many years, and for his training of radiographers both here and abroad.

Congratulations Michael on this highly prestigious award.
