Connect and meet fellow Medical Radiation Science professionals in Geelong for the annual combined Victorian and Tasmanian Winter Education Weekend.

The Weekend brings MRS professionals together for two engaging days of education in Geelong. Hosted at the Crowne Plaza, this year’s event is a partnership between the ASMIRT Tasmanian Branch and the ASMIRT Victorian Branch.

The program focuses on talks across medical imaging and radiation therapy, including keynote presentations and hands‑on workshops. The weekend opens with a Welcome Function on Friday evening, followed by a networking dinner on Saturday night at the Skyline Bar overlooking the beautiful views of Geelong’s waterfront.

Our event features four Invited Speakers including:

• Christina La Spada | Specialist Family Violence Team Leader | Sexual Assault and Family Violence Centre in Geelong and,
• Christine Vanderley–Reichner | Senior Radiographer | Royal Hobart Hospital
• Ken Wan | Chief Radiation Therapist | Barwon Health and
• Dayna O’Shannessy | Lead Clinical Educator and Radiographer | Austin Health

We will also have two engaging workshops:

• Beatrice Tanner - Equitable care for all – If we get it right for people with learning disabilities and autism, we get it right for everyone
• Adam Steward, Jessica Watson and Steve Lacey speaking on Clinical Education

WINTER WEEKEND CASE RACE

We are pleased to offer a Case Race for our Winter Education Weekend.

Share a short presentation of an interesting historical case or a set of images, that is approximately 4 minutes in duration (4–6 slides), which will be followed by a 1 minute Q&A. Submit expressions of interest to james.rohan@gh.org.au.

Winners will be determined by audience vote. Submit your form to james.rohan@gh.org.au. EOIs close on Tuesday 30 June 2026.
